Jody Lu (b. Houston, TX; based in Los Angeles) is a multidisciplinary artist working in sculpture, installation, video, and sound.
In 2022, Lu's series "1963" opens up the dialogue to redefine the term 'a collectible'. As the word is a subjective term to each individual, the value/no value varies to the touch of one's own hand to an object. Lu's interests in the balance between longevity and delicacy coincides with the history of an object. While often shown through the markings and the tracings of moments, this plays a prevalent role in her works as she continually challenges the ideas of time and space.
